According to the Reserve Bank of India and the Department of Financial Services:
- You never need your UPI PIN to receive money. A PIN or QR scan is only for paying; a request asking for your PIN to "receive a withdrawal" is fraud.
- Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password, even with someone claiming to be support.
- Don’t install apps a "support agent" sends you. Screen-sharing apps expose everything on your phone.
- Don’t trust customer care numbers from search results; fake numbers are widely posted.
